Customs clearance guide for electric blankets:

Demand for heating products has surged in Europe as temperatures have dropped, as has EXP for Chinese heating appliances.What about EXP customs clearance of heating artifact electric blanket?Let's take a look at it togetherGreat link.

Electric blanket, also known as electric mattress, is a contact electric heating appliance.It weaves or sews special cable-type electric heating elements with standard insulation performance into serpentine blankets, which generate heat when electrified.It is mainly used for raising the temperature in quilts when people sleep, so as to achieve the purpose of heating.

PART.01

Classification of electric blankets

Electric blanket products on the market are dazzling.It can be classified into three categories: electric blanket, hydrothermal blanket and water pump electric blanket.

1. Electric blanket is a common heating blanket in our life.Its principle is to weave a special electric heating element like a thread in a blanket, and plug in a power supply to heat up.Try not to fold or stretch when using, otherwise it may heat up.The wire is short-circuited.

2. Wrap the electric heating wire in the blanket and water pipe.In the process of heating and heat transfer, a certain amount of water vapor will be released.When there is no water, it will automatically cut off the power supply, but if this function cannot guarantee the separation of water and electricity, there is still the risk of electricity leakage.

3. The water pump electric blanket heats the water in the main engine water pump, and the hot water circulates in the blanket to realize the separation of water and electricity and prevent short circuit.The water temperature can reach 60 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, but it needs frequent water injection.

Electric blanket EXP EUMatters needing attention

1. CE certification

Electric blankets in EXP and EU must be CE certified."CE" mark is a kind of safety certification mark, which is regarded as a passport for products to enter the European market.In the EU market, "CE" mark is a compulsory certification mark.If products produced by enterprises within the EU or products produced in other countries want to circulate freely in the EU market, they must be marked with "CE" to show that the products meet the basic requirements of the EU, and the EU Directive on New Methods of Technical Harmonization and Standardization.

Some small household appliances entering Europe need to be tested and certified by Notify Bodies.For details of third-party designated institutions, please refer to:

https://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/nando/index.cfm? fuseaction=notifiedbody.main

Technical documents to be prepared for CE certification:

1. The name and address of the manufacturer (EU Authorized Agent) AR), the name and model of the product, etc.;

2. Product instruction manual;

3. Safety design documents (including key structural drawings, that is, design drawings that can reflect creepage distance, electrical clearance, insulation layer number and thickness);

4. Technical conditions of products (or enterprise standards) and establishment of technical data;

5. Electrical schematic diagram, block diagram and circuit diagram of products;

6. List of key components or raw materials (please select products with European certification marks);

7. Testing Report;;

8. Relevant certificates issued by the EU authorized certification body NB (applicable to modes other than Mode A);

9. Registration certificate of products in EU (some products such as Class I medical devices and ordinary IVD in vitro diagnostic medical devices);

10. CE Declaration of Conformity (DoC), etc

II. EU Technical Trade Measures

CE certification of electric blanket in EXP is a mandatory requirement of EU law for products, with emphasis on product safety indicators.

1. Electricity safety

Electric blankets in EXP and EU mainly need to pay attention to mechanical certification (MD Directive 2006/42/EC), low voltage certification (LVD Directive 2014/35/EU) and electromagnetic compatibility certification (EMC Directive 2014/30/EU) to participate in CE certification.The overall test standards include: EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-17, EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2, EN 61000-3-2 and EN 61000-3-3.It should be noted that the safety standard of electric blanket has just been revised in 2021, and the change of the updated standard EN 60335-2-17: 2013 + A2: 2021 needs subsequent inspection and certification.

In addition, for power plugs entering the EU market, different countries have great differences in structural shape and electrical requirements.For example, BS 1363 series of three flat plugs of 13A, BS EN 50075 requirements of two round flat plugs of 2.5 A and German and French systems are commonly used in English system.Round plug VDE 0620-1, as the mainstream testing standard in Europe, requires enterprises to follow up the procurement certification of components with regional differences.At the same time, the power supply voltage in European countries is not exactly the same.For example, Turkey, Poland, Russia and other countries use AC 220V and 50Hz, while Finland, France, Germany, Italy and other countries use AC 230V and 50Hz, and Britain uses AC 240V and 50Hz. font >

2. Chemical risks

All electrical and electronic products subject to the CE mark must comply with the requirements of the RoHS Directive (Directive 2011/65/EU and Revised Directive (EU) 2015/863).RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU mainly stipulates the limits of harmful substances, in which the maximum allowable content of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +), polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) is 0.1% (1000ppm), cadmium (Cd) is 0.01% (100ppm), and the revised Directive (EU) 2015/863 adds four new items, and the maximum allowable content of phthalates is 0.1% (1000ppm).

On May 20, 2022, the European Commission published the proposal procedure of restricted substances in RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU) in official website, and proposed to add medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (MCCPs) and tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBP-A) to the list of restricted substances in RoHS Directive.By then, the number of RoHS restricted substances in EU will increase to 12.According to the procedure, the plan is expected to be adopted in the fourth quarter of 2022, and the final control requirements are subject to the final decision of the European Commission.

3. Packaging label

The EU has always set up barriers to the import of foreign products through product packaging and labeling.For example, for flammable, explosive, corrosive and toxic products, the law stipulates that their packaging and labeling must meet a series of special labeling requirements.In accordance with Regulation No. 75-1349 of 31 December 1975, France requires that all product label descriptions, advertising leaflets, user manuals, warranties and other information materials be in French.

3. International notification and recall risks

Enterprises should pay attention to international recalls and make timely adjustments according to market risk trends.
