CMA CGM Announces PSS Adjustment

CMA CGM, the world's leading shipping company, recently announced that from November 1, 2024 (Columbia, Venezuela, Panama and Puerto Rico starting from November 15, 2024), it will levy a PSS (Peak Season Surcharge, PSS) on Reefer on specific routes. This initiative aims to cope with the increased demand for transportation during the upcoming peak season, ensuring service quality and operational efficiency.

Scope of application

This PSS is applicable to the following routes:

• Origin: West Coast South America, West Coast Central America and West Coast of Mexico, East Coast Central America and the Caribbean, Wind Islands
• Destinations: Northern Europe (including Scandinavia, Poland and Baltic Country), Eastern Mediterranean, Western Mediterranean, Black Sea and North Africa

Type of goods

This surcharge is only aimed at Reefer.

Charging standards

$1,000 per Container.
